Sebastien Buemi hits marshal in Japan
SebastienBuemi has inadvertently collided with a marshal in his Toro Rosso Formula One car during a publicity stunt in Japan.
After performing several donuts, Buemi was accelerating through an archway when the crazed marshal sprinted across his path and attempted a leap over the vehicle. The two then collided with the marshal being thrown into nearby bushes, while the STR car appeared to take some minor cosmetic damage.
It looks as though Buemi saw the marshal and managed to slow down before hitting him. He was apparently travelling at around 50 km/h at the point of impact; however the marshal may be wishing he had kept up more speed so momentum carried him over the car as he had probably planned on.
Thankfully both Buemi and the marshal reportedly walked away uninjured.
Buemi was driving as part of a Red Bull sponsored charity event for Japanese Tsunami and Earthquake victims.
