After the war, Peugeot revived the 40...-models with the 403 in 1955. The large family car was fist offered as sedan, larger estate variants and a two-door cabriolet followed. Its design was provided by Pininfarina. The model remained in production until 1966, although its successor, the 404 already entered the markets by 1960.
