Nissan unveiled the facelifted Juke at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Among the changes are a new design at the front and rear with greater emphasis on both premium refinement and sporty design cues. To radically alter the proportions would undermine the Juke's unmistakable presence, but designers have still managed to make significant changes to the car's styling.
At the front, the upper lamps have been redesigned and now incorporate bi-intensity LED daytime running lamps while the headlamps now have Xenon bulbs for better visibility and new lens covers. The grille incorporates the new Nissan brand signature while the front has been toughened with new and more robust trim beneath the bumper.
At the rear the bumper has a more aggressive shape to match new revised boomerang tail lamps with LED light guide technology, giving the new Juke a more distinctive appearance at night.
Revisions in the luggage area have increased space by 40 per cent in two-wheel drive versions up to 354L.
Three engines are availble with the 2015 Juke, one is completely new, one has been extensively revised, while the existing 1.5 dCi diesel with 110PS continues unchanged.
The Alliance-developed 1.2-litre DIG-T petrol engine replaces the outgoing 117PS 1.6-litre unit. This advanced turbocharged direct injection engine delivers 115PS and generates 190Nm of torque, and although its smaller size it offers a sharper acceleration and greater torque, resulting in added flexibility. Its lower weight, standard automatic Stop/Start feature and more fuel-efficient operation translates into cleaner and more economical performance. The 1.2 DIG-T engine emits 126g/km of CO2 and has a fuel consumption figure of 5.5 l/100km.
The existing 1.6DIG-T petrol unit has been improved to deliver lower end torque below 2,000rpm. Producing 140kW, it is already Euro6 compliant with target emissions of 139g/km of CO2 for the 2WD versions. Among its new features are a higher combustion ratio (increased from 9.5 to 10.5:1), improved low friction technologies and cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation.
As well as a six-speed manual transmission, the new Juke 1.6 DIG-T 4WD is optionally available with a new Xtronic transmission gearbox which further improves fuel efficiency, acceleration and all-round performance.
New alloy wheels, advanced equipment including a new audio system, the latest generation NissanConnect driver-vehicle interface, Nissan Safety Shield, Nissan's Dynamic Control system, plus the option of a new opening glass roof are some of the technical enhancements of the new model.

The Nissan Juke is the industry’s first small crossover. It combines the robustness of a SUV with a touch of sporting style.
The Nissan Juke is powered by three different engines: The top of the range version of the small crossover is equipped with Nissan’s turbocharged petrol engine (MR16DDT) with direct injection. As one of the most powerful engines in its class it develops 190 hp and has a maximum torque of 240 Nm.
In terms of design the Nissan Juke, based on the Nissan Alliance B platform, combines the pure SUV characteristics, such as thick wheels, wide tyres, extended ground clearance and a strong stance, with a sports car style, with a high waistline, slim visor-like side glass graphics and a coupé-style falling roofline. The door handles hidden in the frame door enhance Juke’s coupe look.

During World War II, Nissan’s factories were dedicated to the production of engines, trucks and aircraft for the Japanese army, which was a major factor to become one of Japan’s most powerful companies.
Nissan merged with another Japanese automobile producer, Prince Motor Company, in 1966 and eventually the Prince tradename was permanently dropped. Nevertheless, such unification brought Nissan car range to... more
