Model History

The 402 was the successor to the short-lived 401-model in 1935. It remained in production until 1942, and up to 16 different body styles were available. Striking about the design was the streamlining, which was taken to the extreme by the 402 Andreau aerodynamic vehicle. As its predecessor, it also had versions with the Eclipse folding roof.
