Spice Engineering was founded by Gordon Spice in 1984. It participated with success in the World Sportscar Championship and in the GT Championship organized by the IMSA. In 1993, the GTP class in IMSA collapsed and the Spice team rethought their strategy. Their goal was to build road cars and use them in the new GT races and also enter the Formula One Championship. However the company closed shortly after.
