Isdera spyder (Germany, 1983-present)

The spyder is the first production car launched by the newly-founded company in 1983.
The vehicle bridges the gap between car and motorcycle. It is an open vehicle, reduced to the minimum of necessary parts.

The fist spyder 033i was equipped with a tuned VW GTI 4V engine producing 135 hp. From 1985, customers received their spyder 033-16 with a 16V Mercedes-Benz engine with an output of 185 hp.
In 1987, the spyder 036i was introduced with V6 engines from Mercedes-Benz delivering 188 hp.

In 1991 a new generation of engines with 220 hp was added and the spyder was now capable of a top speed of 262 km/h.
