Subaru brought to the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show its Impreza Design Concept, a preview of the carmaker’s ‘Confidence in Motion’ design and brand strategy. The sporty four-door coupe blends two main ideas: ‘dynamic flow’ and ‘confident stance’.
Powered by a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated Boxer engine combined with a Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), the Impreza Design Concept represents Subaru's next-generation of powertrain.
The hexagonal grille and wing-motif located between the hawk-eye-style headlights gives a clearly recognizable Subaru look to the front fascia. The fin-shaped fog lamps, which mirror the wing motif, are a glimpse of the new design expression from Subaru. Like the 2011 WRX STI, the car’s low-and-wide stance offers security and safety.
With the Impreza Design Concept Subaru designers opted for more simple and clean lines. From the side it features a sleek, continuous line from the A-pillar, along the roof and through the C-pillar. The design offers both a roomy cabin and aerodynamic efficiency.
