Chevrolet Suburban (United States of America, 1933-present)

The Chevrolet Suburban is a large sport utility vehicle. It is currently a station wagon related to the GM pickup trucks like the Silverado. It is available as 4-door SUV with front engine layout and either rear- or four-wheel drive. The Suburban nameplate is used since 1935 and is the longest-lived continuous automobile nameplate today. The Suburban has been produced under various brands such as  Chevrolet, Holden, Cadillac and GMC. The GMC model was rebranded GMC Yukon XL.

The latest generation of the Suburban was launched in 2007 along with the GMC Yukon XL. The model received updates in terms of exterior styling, interior and aerodynamics. The three-quarter ton model has a towing capacity of 9,600 lbs, which ranks amongst the best for the 4x4 SUV segment.
