Tesla Roadster was introduced in 2008. It is a battery electric vehicle (BEV) and was the first all-electric vehicle in serial production capable of being driven on a United States highway. Other records belong to this model: it was the first to use lithium-ion batteries and to reach a 200 miles/ 320 km range per charge. This two-door roadster is capable of going from 0 to 60 mph/ 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds.
