is sponsoring the new animated film "Turbo" from Dreamworks Animation about a snail who enters the Indy 500. As part of the promotion, Chevrolet has created a replica of the Camaro that appears in the movie and will promote the film in an advertising campaign.

The film tells the story of a snail who wants to become the greatest racer in the world. He gets sucked into an engine, and his DNA is merged with nitrous oxide to make him super fast. So he sets off on his goal to win the Indy 500. Ryan Reynolds voices Turbo, and among other celebrities the film also features the voices of racers Dario Franchitti, Will Power and Mario Andretti.

Chevy also worked with the animation team to provide models for the Camaro and IndyCar Series cars in the film.

“Turbo is one of the most anticipated films of the summer, and we couldn’t be more excited about this collaboration, which aligns perfectly with Chevrolet’s renewed presence in IndyCar,” said Tim Mahoney, chief marketing officer at Chevrolet.

Chevrolet finished in the top four spots at this year's Indy 500. It returned to being an engine supplier for the series last year.

"Turbo" premieres in the US on July 17. Europe has to wait until October for a release.
