Formula 1 Drivers Wanted to Clean Up Language

Raikkonen and Vettel both got in trouble for swearing during the broadcast

The FIA is upset that Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen both used profanity during the post-race interview with David Coulthard after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

All of the teams received a letter from the FIA addressing the issue and asking them to tell their drivers not to swear during broadcasts.

The BBC received 22 phone calls complaining about Raikkonen and Vettel swearing.

"I'm terribly sorry for using the wrong word on the podium today and I'm sorry if I have offended anyone who was watching.

"In the heat of the moment, I didn't use the right words and I apologise. I'll do better next time," said Vettel.

David Coulthard also apologized.
