Apparently the Greek government has paid off all of its debt and everyone in the country has a job because it just agreed to contribute €30 million to build a race circuit capable of hosting a Formula 1 race.
The ministry of development in Greece will build the course near Patras, Greece, which is Greece's third largest urban area with about 214,500 inhabitants. The track will cost €94.6 million total, and the rest of the money will come from private investors.
This investment comes while Greece is in a deep recession and according to Bloomberg currently has a 24.4% unemployment rate and has been rising.
