Not only is Aston Martin launching the revised V8 Vantage and V12 Zagato at the Geneva Motor Show, but it is also launching its new Q vehicle personalization service.
With the Q service, Aston Martin will not only modify the buyers' car to their exact specification, it will also work with them to make their car match every part of their lives. Aston Martin gives the examples that it is willing to paint buyers' bikes to match their car or apply their car's interior to their yacht. All of that comes for a price, of course.
Most people who use the Q service will be tailoring their Aston Martin to their exact needs. Aston Martin will have examples of Q-modifed versions of the Cygnet and Virage in Geneva. The Virage is painted Mariana Blue with blue carbon fiber, leather floor mats, yellow trim, an HD camera to record track driving and luggage rack. The Cygnet in Geneva will be painted in Cherry Tree red, a photographic leather headliner, luggage set and color-matched bicycle.
In Ferrari's recent earnings report, it revealed that 100% of the vehicles that it sold in 2011 has used its personalization service. It looks like Aston Martin is attempting to take a piece of this lucrative market.
