Ferrari 599 Successor Coming at Geneva, Likely Called F620

It looks like Ferrari fans are just a few weeks from seeing the debut of a successor for the 599.

The successor carries the codename F620 for now. That would indicate that the car will get the 6.3 liter V12 from the Ferrari FF that produces 660ps. However, Ferrari might further tune this engine up to around 700ps.

Current rumors from the German magazine Autobild indicate that the car will have an aluminum chassis with many carbon fiber components.

The 599 debuted in 2006 taking the over for the 575M. It is powered by a 6.0l V12 with 620ps and 608Nm of torque. Ferrari improved the car in 2009 by offering the 599GTO with 670ps and 620Nm of torque. Just 599 GTOs were made.

The 599 took over for the 575M, which used a 5.7l V12 with 515PS and 588Nm of torque. That car was in production from 2002 to 2006.

Why do I have the feeling that the 599 was released no more than a couple of years ago? It looks fresh as a daisy.

Weight reduction! That's the bees knees, a billion HP is predictable, how much is it going to weigh? I'm much more atractted to the V8 range, the V12's look so huge to me!

I hear weight is gonna be down about 100 pounds. Can't wait to see how they top the GTO.

Indeed. What's in line after the FF and the 458? Ferrari is unstoppable these days. Pun intended :)
