Scout in March at the Geneva Motor Show. The vehicle takes the Octavia Combi variant and gives it a more rugged look with off-road features, just like Audi has done with the Allroad models. The Octavia Scout brings an innovative AWD, better driving performance and high versatility on the road and off road.

The new Skoda Octavia Scout is based on the Octavia Combi and has a specifically developed design. Both the front and rear feature powerful, black bumpers with silver-coloured off-road attachments. The front features a wide air intake and sharply-embossed fog lights. The door sills and wheel arches are also in black panelling, in addition to the black protective side mouldings. The ground clearance has increased by 33 millimetres compared to the standard Octavia. 17 inches alloy wheels will be fitted as standard.

Inside the vehicle gets a new three-spoke multi-function leather steering wheel with new features specifically designed for the Scout.

The Skoda Octavia Scout is fitted with an all-wheel drive system, based on the Haldex-5 system. Traction was increased by 25 % to two tons. Furthermore, the starting performance and uphill strength of the Octavia Scout have significantly increased.

The new version of the Octavia will be available with a choice of two diesel engines and one petrol. The engines are 20% more economical in comparison with its Skoda Octavia Scout 2.0 T...Czech Rep., 2009 > present2 photos

The model will hit the market in the summer.
