BMW Has Had Its Best Three Quarters Ever in 2013

is having its best year ever through the third quarter, and its best September sales ever. It moved 189,675 cars in the ninth month of the year, up 6.7% from last year. From January to September of this year, BMW has sold 1,436,178 cars, 7.5% better than last year.

“We achieved record global deliveries for the month of September and the first nine months of the year. Despite initial signs of stabilization in the European automobile market, conditions in many countries remain challenging,” said Ian Robertson, head of sales and marketing at BMW Group.

The BMW brand sold 158,029 cars in September, up 7.6%. The bestselling BMW model is the 9152, which had 44,752 sales in September, up 13.9%

Through September, BMW brand has sold 1,209,598 cars, up 9%.

sold 31,313 cars in September, up 2.5%, and its best September ever. It also had its most successful three quarters ever with 224,280 cars sold, up 0.5%.

has sold 2,300 cars in the first three quarters of the year, down 1.1% from last year.

Regionally, Europe is BMW’s largest market with 93,073 sales in September, up 0.7%, and 641,195 sales through September, up 0.2%.

Asia is second largest with 54,014 sales in September, up 18%, and 421,456 cars through the first three quarters, up 17.8%. China also showed 20.8% growth in September and 20.2% growth for the first three quarters of the year.

The Americas also showed 8.3% growth for September at 36,889 cars, and 11.8% growth for the first three quarters at 325,078 cars.
