at its joint venture factory in Changsa, China. An official agreement will be signed in the coming months, according to the National Business Daily newspaper in China.

Guangzhou and Fiat had started negotiations to build Jeeps in China in January, but the two sides disagreed on where they should be built. Fiat wanted them built at the GAC Fiat Automobile plant in Changsa, and Guangzhou wanted them built at its own factory in the city of Guangzhou. Fiat appears to have won the disagreement.

The Changsa factory is underutilized at the moment, according to the newspaper's report. The only vehicle currently being built there is the Fiat ViaggioFiat Viaggio Gen.1Italy, 2013 > present4 versions
