sold 133,441 cars in November, up 10.9%, and has sold 1,322,500 cars worldwide since the beginning of the year, up 10.7%. The two strongest regions were China with 26.1% growth and the United States, Canada and Mexico region up 13.2%.
“In November, our strong new models once more generated record sales. Therefore we have already achieved last year's total sales volume and we are the fastest-growing premium brand since the beginning of the year,” said Ola Källenius, head of marketing & sales at Daimler.
In Europe, Mercedes-Benz Cars sales are up 6.6% to 605,662 for the year through November. For November alone, there was a 0% change compared to last year at 53,731 cars.
In the NAFTA region, which includes the US, Canada and Mexico, Mercedes sold 34,376 cars in November, up 13.4%. For the year through November, sales are up 13.1% 316,218 cars. Mercedes is the most-registered luxury car brand in the United States.
Asia continues to be a major market for Mercedes, especially China. In all of Asia, Mercedes sold 36,245 cars in November, up 25.4%, and it has sold 349,108 cars there through November, up 15.1%. In China, Mercedes sold 21,277 cars, up 26.1%, and it has sold 194,531 cars there so far this year, up 9.7%.
