. The system uses radar and cameras to scan around the entire vehicle for safety hazards.
Safety Shield includes three systems working together. First there is blind spot warning. The side mirror flashes when it detects a car in the driver’s blind spot. If the driver indicates for a lane change, then the system gives an audible warning. Second, there is lane departure warning that scans the road lines to decide if the car is leaving its lane, if it is then the driver is given a warning. Finally, it has moving object detection that gives an audible and visual alert if there is something at the rear of the vehicle, and the image is displayed on the car’s screen.
To keep costs down, there is a single wide-view camera at the rear with nearly 180 degrees of view. There is a water and compressed air system to keep it clean.
