History and Development

The second generation of the Toyota Corolla is also called the Corolla E20, released in 1970 as a slightly bigger and rounder car. Its wheelbase was lengthened, its design lines were softened and its engine range was expanded with new material. When the second generation came out, the Toyota Corolla turned into the world’s second best selling car.
