Toyota Corolla (Japan, 1987-1992)

Toyota launched the E90 series Corolla, that is, the model’s sixth generation, in 1987. On the following year, the Japanese brand reached the 10 million mark on Corolla units sold. The E90 series were the first Corollas to be rebadged and put on the North American market as the Geo Prizm.   It wasn’t until 1991 that the Corolla received Toyota’s newly designed emblem on the grille, replacing the traditional roman letters that simply spelled “Toyota”. In 1994, the sixth generation Corolla was put off the markets so as to give space for the next generation.
