Founded in 1966, Trident Cars Ltd was a British car manufacturer based originally in Woodbridge and then in Ipswich, Suffolk. The brand produced luxury sports cars, being financed by TVR. Between 1966 and 1974 the brand produced its models in Woodbridge and then restarted it in Ipswich in 1976. Production stopped in 1977-78.
A new Trident company was established in May 1999 in Fakenham, Norfolk, to develop and manufacture a two-seater sports car the Iceni.
