The first generation Fiat Uno, best known as the Uno Mk1, entered production in 1983 and it took the place of the old Fiat 127 in the markets. In 1984 the Fiat Uno got to be elected European Car of the Year. A turbocharged version of this model – the Fiat Uno Turbo – was added to the range in 1985.
