The latest Ferrari F12berlinetta launch photos got me thinking on Vogue. Yes. You see, photos used by car makes resemble those photoshopped enhanced cover stars, with tightened everything and "cheating" proportions with bigger wheels than those that will ever see production, spacers, etc.

In lesser cars this is understandable but on a car the caliber of the F12, not a sports car, but a super sports car? It's just wrong...

For a (good) example check out the Porsche 911 GT3, not a competitor on price or performance, so even more of a valid example for me. Take a look at the photo (it's not even an RS or 4.0, "regular" GT3) and see the ever so tight wheel to fender gap (serious damping control), and generally the hard as nails look. It doesn't need no retouching, it's straight out of the box like this!

The F12 shoulf be an awesome car but these kind of details make the car look heavy and a bit "flabby" in my eyes. Just look at the screen grab from youtube!

As a disclaimer I might add that I'm a true petrolhead so both a Ferrari and Porsche lover! Just to be on the safeside, putting my nomex suit on for protection though...

They just don't understand cars, they assume that it needs to be to the ground with 30 inch rims in order to be "Interesting".
