The Volkswagen California is a camping van based on the Volkswagen T platform. It was first introduced in 1989 with the T3 generation and is currently in its third series (T5) which was launched in 2003. In 2009, the California received a face lift and is currently available in two trims, Beach and Comfortline. The Beach offers basic equipment, while the Comfortline comes as a fully fitted camper van with kitchen, fridge, shelves, table and seats.
