The e-Golf is a pure EV powered by a 26.5kWh battery and an electric motor with 114hp and 199lb-ft of torque. That should give it a range of 109 miles (175.4km). It should be able to reach 100km/h in 11.8 seconds and have an 84mph electronically-limited top speed. The battery pack will add about 250kg to the car’s weight.

It will drive in three modes: Normal, Eco and Range. The Eco mode will cut power back to 95hp and cut the top speed of 74.5mph (120km/h). The Range mode goes even further and turns off the air conditioning and lowers the top speed to 59mph (95km/h).
