The V40 is part of Volvo's new small family car. This 5-door hatchback was unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show and replaces the S40 sedan and V50 station wagon.

The new V40 features a safety and driver support package, including Volvo Car Corporation's Pedestrian Detection with Full Auto Brake and other new features that include pedestrian airbag, Lane Keeping Aid with haptic auto steering, and Park Assist Pilot.

The model is available with Volvo's new, 1.6l 115hp diesel engine that emits 94g/km of CO2 and the T5 petrol engine with 254hp. All engines will have start/stop and regenerative braking regardless of transmission.
