Volvo XC90 (Sweden, 2002-present)

The Volvo XC90 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV that was unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show in 2002. The XC90 is based on Volvo's P2 platform, which it shares with the first generation Volvo S80 and other large Volvo cars.

On the year of its market launch the XC90 was imediatly noticed and received both the Motor Trend's Sport Utility vehicle and North American Car of the Year awards.

The XC90 was Volvo's most popular model worldwide in 2005 and it was a top seller for Volvo in the United States.
