In 2010 Opel performed a visual and technological facelift on its compact crossover, the Antara. The refreshed model came with new styling but also with a new lineup of engines. The new range of engines included a newly developed common-rail diesel engine with 2.2-liters displacement and a 2.4-liter gasoline engine.
The common-rail diesel engine has an output of 120kw/163hp. The 163 hp diesel model is available with front or all-wheel drive and with manual or automatic six-speed transmission. Compared to the older versions, the new engines saw their agility and driving dynamics increased, while the fuel consumption and emissions have been reduced. All of the engines are Euro 5 compliant. To match the new engines, the newly tuned chassis offers a combination of dynamic handling and suspension comfort.
