Celebrating 80 years of history Pininfarina presented at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show a new concept car designed for Alfa Romeo: the 2uettottanta. The 2uettottanta is also celebrating the centenary of Alfa Romeo and that is why the name is a combination between the Italian brand’s legendary Duetto and the number of years of activity at Pininfarina.
The "simple 2-seater" is powered by a 1750cc turbo engine, in reference to the 1750 Veloce of 1968. With 1797 mm width, 4212.6 mm length, 1280 mm height and a wheelbase of 2500 mm, the 2uettottanta features the typical red colour.
With a simple front end design, the 2uettottanta shows a central line that runs along the nose of the car, with the Alfa Romeo shield placed at the centre, with a futuristic three-dimensional approach.
The 2uettottanta can be driven in three different modes, Dynamic, Normal and All Weather, each one of them adapting the behaviour of the various systems on the vehicle to the demands of the driver and the different driving conditions.
The low centre of gravity and a passenger compartment that is very exposed was the solution found by Pininfarina to express the values inherent in the company’s Alfa spider vehicles, features that made the Giulietta Spider or the Duetto all-time classics.
