History

The German Artega Motors company has just recently been founded at Delbrueck, Germany, by Klaus Dieter Frers. The Artega brand is focused on the development of revolutionary technology to produce luxurious, high-performance sports cars. The Artega GT, the first Artega model to be produced, was presented at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show.

On conceiving the Artega GT, Klaus Dieter Frers states that it is his ambition for this model to compete with the Testa Roadster and the Fisker Karma. In 2008, Frers publicly revealed that Artega is working on a project in order to conceive a concept car that’s somewhat operated by solar power technology. The Artega SE, an electric version of the GT, was introduced at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The SE is still a concept vehicle, but the company intends to turn it into a production car.

The Artega company reportedly maintains a very good bond with the largest European car maker, Volkswagen, from which they benefit some resource supplying.
