"What really counts is The 24 hours and I hope to be on the podium and on the top step in 15 days time. I am also very wary of the competition, everyone is looking for different solutions. We also know there are things we can improve," said #24 Oak Racing Morgan-Nissan driver Olivia Pla. 

The eight-hour testing session was hampered by rain the entire time and three red flags. 

Audi driver Loic Duval set the fastest time of the day at 3:22.583.

"We wanted a 'qualifying' type run to see what the Audi has in the tank. I went with some low fuel and I enjoyed a ride without traffic, and some luck that I will perhaps not have in qualifying," he said. 

Toyota responded to its relatively disappointing performance by saying that the team was working on aerodynamic setups and tire evaluation.

"Due to the weather we did not have the chance to do all the work we wanted today, but that was the same for everyone. The team worked well and the cars ran very reliably, which shows the progress we have made since last year," said Toyota Hybrid Motorsports President Yoshiaki Kinoshita.

was second fastest, and the #37 A450 was third fastest. The cars completed 133 laps of testing on several different compounds thanks to the variable conditions.

“Today gave us a chance to validate our new, Le Mans-type aerodynamic set-up, even though the weather was far from ideal. The Alpine A450 is nicely balanced and the drivers found it easy to drive. They feel confident and we seem to be competitive," said Signatech-Alpine Team Principal Philippe Sinault.

Aston Martin has five cars entered in the two GTE classes, and it was first and second fastest in both categories

The 24 Hours of Le Mans begins on June 22.
