Audi already has the A6 Allroad Quattro on sale in Germany and will be rolling it out to the rest of Europe, and the A8 Hybrid and A8L Hybrid will go on sale in May.
The A8 Hybrid and A8L Hybrid are the third hybrids that Audi is offering, and uses the 2.0 TFSI four-cylinder with an electric motor with 245hp and 354lb-ft of torque. It uses 6.3l/100km of petrol (37.34mpg US) and produces 147g/km of CO2. It takes 7.7 seconds to accelerate to 100km/h with a top speed of 235km/h.
The A8 Hybrid seems underpowered given that it will be competing directly against the Mercedes-Benz S400 Hybrid with 299hp, ActiveHybrid 7 with 465ps and the Lexus LS600h with 438hp, although the Audi has the best fuel economy of the bunch.
The A8 Hybrid comes with standard LED headlights, and there are a variety of options including cooled seats, a three available infotainment systems. Surprisingly in such an upscale car navigation and Audi's MMI system are not standard.
The A8L adds 13cm to the car's wheelbase.
The standard wheelbase A8 Hybrid costs €77,700 and the A8L starts at €85,400.
The A6 Allroad Quattro has been on sale in Germany since December. It offers a more off-road worthy A6 Avant with between 204hp and 313hp. Adaptive suspension, rear air suspension, Hill Descent Assist, tilt angle display are standard.
The Allroad is available with four engines, one petrol and three diesel, with between 204hp and 313hp. Depending on engine, it uses either a seven-speed S tronic gearbox or eight-speed tiptronic
Optionally buyers can opt for sport rear differential, MMI, Bang & Olufson stereo and Audi Internet connection.
The A6 Allroad Quattro starts for €54,500 in Germany with the 204hp, 3.0 TDI engine.
