Audi's Detroit Concept May Be First Preview of Q1

has announced an unnamed concept for the North American International Auto Show that may be the first public preview for the 2016 Q1. Audi says that the concept will combine a compact sports car and a crossover. It is meant to be sporty like a hot hatch with the higher ground clearance of a crossover to be a car for all places.

The concept will also show off some future Audi design elements. It has the traits of Audi’s hybrid e-tron models with a ribbed single frame grill and side air inlets. The headlights and honeycomb of the grill are evolutions from the Quattro concept. The shape of the concept echoes the AllroadAudi AllroadGermany, 1999 > present2 series

, and it has aluminum underbody guards at the front and rear for protection.

Audi will reveal more about the concept when it debuts in Detroit.
