Audi shows piloted driving on the 19th

Demonstration will take place in Hockenheim and will show the recent advances in this technology

Concept based on the RS7 Sportback can be piloted at competition speeds

will make a demonstration in the finale of the DTM with a vehicle with piloted driving based on the RS7 SportbackRS7 SportbackAudi RS7 SportbackGermany, 2014 > present. The vehicle will make a return to the Hockenheim circuit showing off the capabilities and advances in this type of technology.

A great feature of this demonstration is that the concept RS7 Sportback will be driven at competition speeds. Thanks to the latest advances the technology this vehicle will be able to get very close to its physical limits with millimetric precision.

Furthermore, Audi indicates that the piloted driving RS7 will be able to post a laptime similar to a racing car driven by a professinal driver. The tests indicate that the vehicle may do a lap around Hockenheim in just over two minutes and reach speeds of 240km/h.

The main goal of this demonstration is for Audi show the high potential of piloted driving, that the German brands thinks is a technology of the future.
