In a clear approach to the European market Chevrolet will be presenting at next month’s Paris Motor Show a 5-door hatchback Cruze. The first images and details of the new Cruze have been present ahead of the French capital’s show.
The official presentation to the press of the new Cruze will take place on September 30th. Besides the 5-door hatchback Chevrolet will also premiere in Paris the new Orlando MPV and two other new vehicles.
"Cruze is turning out to be a real success story. We are selling it in 70 countries around the world and it has recently surpassed the Aveo as our top selling passenger car nameplate globally,” explained Wayne Brannon, president and managing director of Chevrolet Europe.
Representing 65% of the compact segment in Europe for example, the hatchbacks play a very important role in many markets. Thanks to the Cruze hatchback Chevrolet will be expecting to increase their business in a number of regions and also to show everyone that Chevrolet is a serious mainstream player in Europe.
Being a car suited to European driver tastes the Cruze has achieved great sales success in many markets around the old continent. In fact in 2010, Cruze is topping the compact sedan sales charts in many of the larger European markets including Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Portugal and the U.K.
The results outside Europe have also been successful. For example, in China 90,000 units have been sold. The success also extends to Russia, parts of South America and India.
Further details about the 5-door hatchback Chevrolet Cruze will be presented at the Paris Motor Show on the 30th of September.
