Chevrolet presents a special edition of the Corvette Z06

Chevrolet is continuing its recent tradition of track-to-street technology transfer on the Corvette with the presentation of a special edition of the Z06: the 2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon Limited Edition.

The special edition is limited to a 500 unit production and was, according to Jim Campbell, Chevrolet General Manager, “Designed to further incorporate technology developed through racing, the Corvette Z06 Carbon Limited Edition” and represents a tribute to the 50th anniversary of Corvette’s first race in the 24 Hours of LeMans.

The limited edition Z06 will feature Brembo carbon ceramic brakes with specific dark gray metallic calipers, first introduced on the ZR1, black 20-spoke 19-inch front/20-inch rear wheels, the Magnetic Selective Ride Control, for the first time on the Z06, and improved cooling.

Available in two colors (Inferno Orange and the new Supersonic Blue) the 2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon Limited Edition will go on sale in late summer.
