The Trax will be available with either a 1.4-liter turbo with 140hp, 1.6-liter engine or 1.7-liter diesel engine with 130hp. It uses the same all-wheel drive system as the Mokka that sends power to the front wheels unless the rear wheels begin to slip. It will go on sale in 2013.

The 1.7-liter is the most efficient in the range and uses 4.5l/100km.
