Chrysler reveals photos and first details on the 200 model

After showing some teaser pictures in September, Chrysler has finally unveiled the first official pictures and some details of its upgraded 200 model. These enhancements work on the model’s identity and space to face a highly competitive mid-size sedan segment.

In the exterior the upgrades include new front and rear fascias and fenders, a new grille featuring the new Chrysler brand winged badge, hood, rear decklid and exterior mirrors. In the lighting system the new 200 receives new projector headlamps and fog lamps, LED taillamps, and LED center high-mounted stop light.

For 2011 the Chrysler 200 will be available with a 2.4-liter I-4 World Gas Engine mated to either a four-speed or six-speed automatic transaxle, or the new 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transaxle.

Inside the Chrysler 200 has also received some enhancements. The new features include an instrument panel, bezels and gauge face, upgraded seats with a new design, "soft touch" armrests and dash and new heating and cooling outlets in the instrument panel with improved design and functionality.

The Chrysler 200 will be built at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in Sterling Heights, Mich. and will arrive in dealerships during fourth quarter 2010.
