might struggle to find popularity in the US. The Coda electric sedan received a two-star frontal safety rating out of five stars in National Highway Traffic Safety Administration crash tests. However, it recieived a four-star overall score because it had five-star scores in the side impact and rollover crashes.
In the frontal impact, it was actually only the driver who received a two-star score. The passenger received a four-star rating. However, the NHTSA bases scores on the lowest score in a test. That is why it has a two-star score.
The Coda is a pure electric vehicle with a 125 mile range and a top speed of 85mph. Its electric motor produces 134hp and 221lb-ft of torque. It takes six hours to charge from a 220v outlet. At launch, they will only be sold in California.
