European Auto Sales Up in June for Many Automakers

Volkswagen has remained strong despite the market woes.

Nissan had a sales increase of 14% in Europe for June, but sales from January to June are up 5%. Nissan has a 3.9% market share in Europe for the first six months of the year. Volkswagen brand is up 3.1% for the first half of the year selling 907,900 cars in Europe. This result came from a 4.7% fall in sales in Western Europe, but Eastern Europe was up 45.2%

“The Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand developed well in the first half of the year despite the difficult situation in Western Europe. However, there is still considerable uncertainty in Europe which will continue into the second half of the year” Christian Klingler, VW Board Member. 

Audi was up 7.6% in Europe for June and 2.8% in the first six months of the year to 393,350 cars. It owes the sales to the strength of the Q3 and A6 Avant

Chevrolet is also up 10.9% for the first half of this year. Its best selling models in Europe are the AveoAveo Gen.2Chevrolet Aveo Gen.2United States of America, 2011 > present30 versions

Things are not better in Europe yet. Peugeot sales are down 14.4% for the first half of the year. Citroën was down 12.7%.
