A trailer from the film/documentary about the life of the legendary racing driver Ayrton Senna has leaked. These are the first images of a film that will include unseen footage of the racing driver and that is set to come out later this year.
Written by Manish Pandey and directed by BAFTA award winner Asif Kapadia the film will be distributed by Universal Pictures and is set for a worldwide theatrical release.
Considered by many the greatest racing driver of all time, the documentary chronicles Ayrton Senna’s career in F1, his dramatic rise to international fame and his untimely death in 1994 at the age of 34, while leading the San Marino Grand Prix at the Imola circuit in Italy.
"Senna" is the first officially sanctioned feature-length film covering the exploits of one of the world's all-time greatest drivers. For its production it counted with the support from the FIA, the Senna family and the Ayrton Senna Foundation.
Early viewings have placed it on a must-watch list for any fan of racing.
