Seems like the XF model will get its lineup expanded soon as Jaguar is planning the introduction of an estate version of model. The brand has already confirmed that they will be launching the model to compete with the Mercedes, BMW and Audi.
The information was given by Andrew Whyman, XF Vehicle Engineering Manager for Jaguar who told Motoring.com.au “I can't say when or how much, but it is on the cards."
An estate version of the XF will add more diversity to the Jaguar lineup and will certainly attract many customers, especially the European, known for liking the estate variants.
As for the design, Whyman says, "Ian Callum [Jaguar design chief] will do something different with this. It will be slightly different, with character and panache."
We don’t know which point into the development cycle the new Jaguar XF wagon is, but it definitely fits in the Jaguar Land Rover group's long-term plan to release 40 major vehicle updates into the brands portfolio over the next five years.
