had an extremely good quarter and March sales, and Land Rover had its strongest first quarter sales in its history.  The company sold 53,772, up 16%, combined cars in March and 115,504 cars, up 17%, for the first quarter of 2013.

Jaguar sold 9,856 cars in March, up 28%, and 20,210 cars for the quarter, up 31%. Jaguar's strongest world market is the UK with 4,989 sales in the quarter. China is a close second with 4,143 sales this quarter. North America is Jaguar's third largest market with 3,855 cars sold this quarter. 

Land Rover sold 43,916 cars in March, up 14%, and 95,294 cars for the quarter, up 15%. It represents the single best sales month and quarter in Land Rover's history. Land Rover sales match Jaguar sales in terms of its top countries. The UK is responsible for nearly 21,000 sales, China bought about 17,600 cars, and North America bought about 13,800 cars.
