Need For Speed Movie Scheduled for February 7, 2014, Release

The Need for Speed movie that was announced a few weeks ago already has a slated release date of February 7, 2014. 

Dreamworks Pictures who will distribute the movie announced on June 26 that it had fast-tracked the film for 2014 release. The film takes the game as inspiration but is not based on any actual game in the series. George Gatins wrote the screenplay, and he and his brother John Gatins created the concept. 

The film will be directed by former stunt man Scott Waugh who most recently directed the move Act of Valor about the Navy SEALs.

The team behind the game is still taking suggestions for what cars should be in the movie on its Facebook page. The most popular cars suggested so far appear to be the E46 BMW M3BMW M3Germany, 2000 > present4 photos
