The new Fiat Sedici becomes the “best in class” SUV in terms of CO2 emissions with the two new Euro 5 engines (the120CV 1.6 16v petrol engine and the 135CV 2.0 16v Multijet diesel) according to Fiat. Besides its renewed style, the new Sedici brings to the Italian make environment friendlier engines.
Complying with Euro 5 standards for cars CO2 emissions, the two engines show a significant reduction in these emissions in comparison with the ones of the previous range. The new 120 HP engine, with 13 extra HP, achieves a reduction of almost 10% if compared with the 107 HP 1.6, in 4x2 and 4x4 versions. The reduction is bigger when the comparison is between the 120HP 1.9 Multijet and the new 135 HP 2.0 Multijet. In this case CO2 emissions are brought down 20% in the 4x4 version and 17% in the 4x2 model. This puts the New Sedici at the top of its class and also confirms Fiat’s rising commitment towards the environment.
Emphasis should also be made on the fact that the New Sedici 135 HP 2.0 Multijet engine allies the reducing of emissions and consumption with advantages in terms of performance.
The 1.6 16v petrol engine consumes less fuel and has an enhanced performance thanks to a variable timing system that contributes to ensure optimum torque and power at any speed, making it ideal for city driving and winding roads.
