Seat will have a new generation Leon ready by the end of the year, and the company has announced that the car will be heavily influenced by the Seat Ibe Concept that was shown at the Paris Auto Show in 2010. The car will be available as a three-door, five-door and estate when it is released.
Design chief Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos revealed that the car would be heavily based on the Ibe Concept.
“The new Leons will target different clients. The five-door will target families that want something dynamic and spacious; it will be more mature than before. The three-door will be sportier and will have a short wheelbase. The roof will be more sports coupe-like, without being a coupe. The estate will look sporty, but maintains functionality with a huge boot,” said Mesonero-Romanos.
Seat will also have Chinese versions of the new Leon ready by the end of the year too. The cars will have changed interiors for the Chinese market.
