Porsche has built 820,000 Porsche 911s since introduction in 1963, and it has achieved 20,000 victories out of the 30,000 racing victories Porsche has had.

Famous Porsche drivers including Vic Elford and Hans-Joachim Stuck will be driving some of the cars up the Goodwood Hill.

Porsche Great Britain has collected cars from all seven generations for a procession of 911s during the event. Leading it will be a 1967 911 from the Porsche Museum Collection.

Porsche will also be showing off some of its turbocharged racecars at Goodwood including the 962962CPorsche 962CGermany, 1985 > present1 photo

Porsche has always had a commitment to motorsport, but one of its biggest successes is relatively young. In 1998, Porsche introduced the 911 GT3 Cup, which has become the bestselling pure racing car nameplate of all time.
