and targa are all in the works, and there may be more. The GT3 and turbo are probably the ones most interesting to enthusiasts. 

The GT3 will likely be launched at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2013 with a 450hp version of the 3.8-liter flat six found in the previous GT3. It appears that Porsche is dropping the 4.0-liter flat six in the GT3Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0Germany, 2011 > 20117 photos

, which should make the limited run in the last generation quite collectable. That power is the same as the previous GT3 RSPorsche 911 GT3 RSGermany, 2009 > present3 photos
but still a 15hp bump over the later 997-chassis GT3. 

One major change is that appears that Porsche is dropping a manual transmission from the GT3. The only transmission option may be the seven-speed PDK. 

It appears that Porsche is going to have to work to make the next generation GT3 faster than the old car. The PDK transmission weighs more than the outgoing manual, and the engine is only getting a slight boost. The new lighter bodywork should help. Porsche is adding a new front bumper with larger air intakes and larger air intakes in the rear.
