introduced the refreshed Panamera earlier this year, it has slowly been replacing the previous models with new versions with more power and better efficiency. The latest Panamera to get the upgrade is the model’s top version – the Panamera Turbo S. And for the first time there will be a Turbo S version of the even more luxurious, longer wheelbase Panamera Executive. The cars will debut officially at the Tokyo Motor Show on November 20.
The new Panamera Turbo S offers 570hp and 750Nm (553lb-ft) or 800Nm (590lb-ft) with overboost, from its 4.8-liter twin-turbo V8, and it can get to 100km/h in 3.8 seconds. It is a 20hp upgrade over the previous versionPorsche Panamera Turbo S PDKGermany, 2011 > present12 photos

and 50hp upgrade over the current Panamera TurboPorsche Panamera TurboGermany, 2013 > present, and torque is the same as the previous Turbo S but 50Nm (16lb-ft) more than the current Turbo.
The upgrades are enough to boost the top speed to 310km/h, 4km/h faster than the previous one. Fuel consumption is the same as the current Panamera Turbo at 10.2l/100km, which is 11% better than the predecessor model. The standard Turbo S emits 239g/km of CO2, and the Turbo S Executive emits 242g/km of CO2.
Upgrades to the engines to get the boost in power include better airflow to put more oxygen into the cylinders to increase power. The pistons are made from a new aluminum alloy with specially coated piston rings.
The Turbo S Executive offers the same engine in a wheelbase that is 15cm longer than the standard car, which means 12cm more space for rear passengers. It also has thermal and noise-insulated, tinted windows and extra lighting in the center console.
Standard features of both cars include stability control, active roll stabilization, an electronically controlled rear axle, ceramic composite brakes, variable ratio power steering, active suspension dampers in the front and an adaptive air suspension in the rear.
Both versions of the Turbo S come in an exclusive metallic Palladium exterior color and wider 20in wheels taken from the 911 TurboPorsche 911 TurboGermany, 2013 > present.
The interior of both cars gets two-tone leather and newly available Dark Burl Walnut trim. Fourteen-way power, heated seats are standard, and the rear seats are also heated. The Executive adds standard ventilated seats. Buyers can also specify optional 18-way power adjustable seats.
The Porsche Panamera Turbo S costs €180,024, including 19% German VAT, and the Panamera Turbo S Executive starts at €197,041. Orders are open now, and deliveries will begin in January.
